District Court Gautam Budh Nagar was created vide Notification No. 4661/Saat-Nyay-2-114 G/37 dated 19-12-1997 and Shri B.B. Aggarwal was appointed as OSD /District Judge on 07-02-1998.Later on in September-1998 Shri Allah Raham was appointed as OSD/District Judge Gautam Budh Nagar.Shri Allah Raham OSD/District Judge selected a building at Noida Phase-II to run the District Court as temporary and after the necessary modification in the building situated at Noida Phase-II the Courts was started with total 6 number of Courts on 27-06-1999.
Hon’ble Chief Justice Allahabad High Court invited a meeting on 30-10-1998 to discuss the issue related to the residential and non-residential building for District Court Gautam Budh Nagar. Chief Secretary (Heavy Industries) U.P. Government, Chief Secretary (Law) U.P. Government, Director (Land Acquisition) U.P. Government, Spl. Secretary (Revenue), U.P. Government, OSD/District Judge, Gautam Budh Nagar, District Magistrate, Gautam Budh Nagar, Addl. Registrar, Hon’ble High Court Allahabad, Addl. Registrar (Protocol) Hon’ble High Court Allahabad, Joint Registrar (Budget) Hon’ble High Court and Administrative Judge Gautam Budh Nagar participated in the meeting. In said meeting a resolution was passed to provide 30 Acre Land for the residential and 30 Acre Land for the non-residential building for District Court Gautam Budh Nagar. U.P. Government only provided 30 Acre Land for Non-residential Building in year 2003 and also permitted to U.P. Nirman Nigam Ltd. to construct the non-residential (District Court) building.
The construction work started in the year of 2007 by the U.P. Nirman Nigam Ltd. and the part construction of main building with 16 Courts had been completed in the year 2011.On 02-01-2012 District Court shifted from temporary building to newly construct building at Surajpur. Presently total 18 Courts including one outlying Court at Tehsil Jewar is running in this Judgeship.
